Bulgarien levererar men...

Svensk sommar...!? Skitväder!! Vi ville bara komma bort, få lite värme och sol på kroppen. Inget dyrt och fancy utan bara en skön resa inte allt för långt bort! Valet föll på halvpension med Vingresor till Bulgarien. Synpunkterna på valet haglade! Men inte kan väl ni åka dit! Till ungdomarnas festparadis! Dissad av den yngre generationen (och inte bara hemma utan även på plats då ingen ville fösa in oss på dansställena! J@vla sluskar). "Meh..!? Det är ju så fattigt där, tiggare o sån't!"-Och!? Desto viktigare att åka dit då kanske...!? Spendera lite stålar så folk kan leva! Resan blev av såklart och vi hamnade på vårt rum på Ivana Palace hotell halv tre på natten och hittade två flaskor vatten, två torra mackor, två äpplen och Nescafé och socker (men inget varmvatten). Rummet var stort och luftigt. Balkong med stolar bord och torkställning. Sängarna var sköna. Skitigt på golvet bara. Personalen i barerna och restaurangen var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Städerskorna likaså. Receptionspersonalen var även de tillmötesgående och bra fram till sista dagen....! Poolen var bra och det gick bra att bada även kvällstid. Utbudet i barerna var förvånansvärt bra. Goda lokala viner och lokalt öl. Fanns även ett antal importerade öl- och cidersorter. Mycket bra. Restaurangen hade ett begränsat utbud men kvaliteten var god. Buffématen till frukost och kvällsmat var sådär. Halvpension är således inte att rekommendera, inte minst om man, som vi, ankom sent på natten och reste hem efter 22 på kvällen. Mackorna vi fick när vi kom ansågs vara första halvpensionsrätten och därför ingick inte buffén på avresedagen (kvällen). Vi klagade naturligtvis på detta. Högljutt! Av denna anledning var receptionspersonalen inte vänner med oss efter utcheckningen klockan 12. Av den anledningen får Ivana Palace bara medelbetyg. Och egentligen borde det vara Ving som får underbetyg eftersom att de är dem vi köpte resepaketet av. I Vings utvärdering av resan har jag nämnt detta men har inte fått feedback på det vilket får mig att anta att de inte läser utvärderingarna, och om de ändå gör det så bryr de sig inte!

Fräscht men dålig mat

Helt okej hotel för priset, fräsch hotel & städning varje dag + nya handdukar. Frukosten var extremt begränsad & bara fettigt. Middagen var ingenting flr vegetarianer eller veganer, är man det eller special kost får man leva på vatten !!! Rummen var ganska fuktiga, fest 24/7 nere vid baren vid poolen, annars helt okej hotel i ett okej området men inget för barn familjer ! :) Bilderna är utsikten från rum med balkong emot pool område

Skön semester i maj 2017

Bra hotell med jätte trevlig personal både i städningen och baren Fint pool nära till stranden och pub gatan . Var dock mindre nöjd med hotellfrukosten Bussar in till centrum , Nesebar och busstationen går ca varje 20 minut strax utanför hotellet och kostar 1:30 leva p/p. Det ligger flera mycket bra restauranger i närheten.

Wäre 5 Frauen,und wie immer alles top wir bekamen wieder unsere Zimmer im 3 Stock mit toller Aussicht auf den Pool,, Zimmer sauber,und Super nette Zimmermädchen.frühstück OK alles da was man braucht, Dankeschön bis zum nächsten Jahr

A Holiday I want to forget it was a holiday from hell.

Don’t go to this hotel if you want a decent meal. Breakfast is monotonous,and they haven’t heard of having a decent evening meal. The staff are unfriendly,the only good thing is the size of the pool. Has a kiddies pool as well as a seperate adults pool area. Would highly recommend Friends hotel across the road,for decent food whatever time of day. UK people were voting with their feet and having meals across from the Ivahna Palace by going every night into the Friends Hotel opposite. How long before they vote with their fingers I ask? Would WARN people,the hotel staff at our hotel will only send you to a private dr,even though I did say to the hotel staff please organise a public dr when I needed a dr slightly out of hours.(about 6.00pm at night Bulgarian time). The nearest public hospital is in Bourgas an hour and 5mins away,which we didn’t find out until much later on in our holiday,when I ended up with pneumonia. There is drs out to make what they can out of you in Sunny Beach so you are warned and you are charged through the nose when you go in Oharmacies as well. 20 mins work on my leg as I had an infection in it with the first dr the Hitel had organised. Driven my husband and I in his car 5 mins up the road to his clinic,and they charged us £350,and they like being paid in Euros only. Will never be back because of this attitude of make as much money out of tourists as we can. They don’t have a public hospital in Sunny Beach,which is a huge tourist area, which says it all,and we chose to be in the quieter end of Sunny Beach as we are not into razamatazz and night clubs. We are historians. I had travel insurance but they don’t alllow claiming under private medical treatment,and even when eventually my travel insurance organised treatment for my pneumonia,the insurance had to arrange for a private clinic for my treatment in Sunny Beach. We have HUGE experience of travelling abroad. My hubby since 1962-1973 with his family. I have done it with my hubby since 1977. The only year we didn’t do it was covid for 3 years. Never again Bulgaria. Lesson learnt the hard way. We met 3 lovely Bulgarians on holiday,1 was a taxi driver who helped me get my hubby down their huge kerb by the supermarket - he helped my husband in his wheelchair without any thought of a taxi fare as we were only 5 mins away from our hotel,so we didn’t use his taxi. The driver knew this as you wear a band to signify what meals you have at your hotel on your wrist with the name of the hotel on it. The second was a man who had his own business selling coach trips out in our local area,he gave us valuable information about the local area without any payment to him. The third was the Friends hotel were we managed to borrow a walking stick for my hubby which he had forgotten to take with him on holiday. They didn’t charge us for it at all. All they requested was bring it back to them,which we did. My overall opinion of this hotel? They are doing cost cutting excercises and it shows. The orange juice in the morning was watered down,the coffee I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy,and don’t expect anything in your desserts except an apple or maybe cherries if you are lucky. They haven’t heard of tangerines or peaches or other fruit. Don’t book half board at this hotel. They would sooner promote buying extra food instead for evening meal from the leaflets on each table - instead of serving decent sized evening meals. Is it any wonder we will not be back to Bulgaria? They are still having the Russian mentality. They don’t allow for disabilities whatsover. A holiday I would sooner forget.
